I've spent the last few weeks of sunshine camping in Scotland, the tanks been fine, lights on a timer, heater on a thermostat and a good Algae growth so it's almost self sufficient. I've topped up with RO water and added a couple of drops of Spirulina + tank water to the 'hanging rock' when I've come home , to make new gold prospecting gear and re-supply, each time there's been a few 'berried' females swimming about, here's one I photoed today but as yet I've not seen any hatchlings ? I'm home for about a week, let the bank holiday pass, make a new sluice and tarp awning for the car then head back further north this time so hope to post more photos :grin3:

I’m glad yours are breeding well, mine have slowed down from all this hot weather we have had. It’s been high 20’s in my tank :(

@ Odin

Do you feel that when the temperatures rise the opae slow down on breeding?

Absolutely, the summer we have had this year has been crazy in the UK.
