The Nitrates are higher then the day before so you are getting Nitrites being converted into Nitrates, you can reduce them both with water changes or you can just leave it and see what happens. This is all standard when you are creating the nitrogen cycle in a tank.

Try and get the biodigest that stuff is amazing and just sorts your tank parameters out for you.

Edit: just looked again does that kit contain startup and biodigest as I see two ampules?

You can use fully sized ampules like I do as you cannot overdose the tank with this stuff.

Hope so,( it's still in the post) because the API Quick Start, added 16-2-18, never seemed to get going on the Nitrite to Nitrate, the Ammonia went down to 0 but the Nitrites haven't
