Water has become brown tinted

So today I woke up and noticed everything in the jar had turned brown and the water has a slight brown tint to it.
The opae do not seem to be behaving any different apart from being a little more active for what they be normally during the day as they tend to come out more in the eve and night.
I tried to take some pics but hard to see especially the water tint but if you look at the white of the shells you can see they have turned brown.
Is this a bloom or should I be worried?

That will be the brown algae I mentioned in the other topic, it will go on its own so nothing to worry about. To slow it down a bit you will need to reduce light from your window and over head light.

It will get eaten by the shrimp and you will hopefully get some green algae growing, all part of the cycling process

Aah, so this is also shrimp food. Explains why they were out more then usual from under the rocks during the day nibbling away.
I shall have to move the jar away from the window for the time being.
Also I wanted to ask is it normal for a berried shrimp to lose eggs?
Unless it was just the way they were placed before but now there seem to be alot less eggs being carried

Yeah they do drop them sometimes, usually when it’s one of their first batches of eggs.

Ooh no 😦 that is so saddening to know.
I have noticed when other shrimps go bear the berried shrimp she quickly moves away sometimes even looks like she is boxing them with her legs πŸ˜‚
I wonder if the other shrimps try to get the eggs from the mother shrimp or try to get her to drop them πŸ€”

I have just not long ago found another moult so hopefully another berried shrimp.
Update on the mama who dropped her eggs, last night I noticed she has dropped further eggs and only had 2 remaining. I have not seen her today so will check later on to see if she still has the 2 remaining

Could she have been berried when she arrived or do you think she got eggs after moulting?
